1993

March
9th - We met at Ricks College. I met Krista while substituting for a home teaching assignment with roomate Jeremy.
20th - First Official Date. I took Krista out to the school (Ricks College) to see the Dance Championships, then took her out for dessert at an Yogurt Shop.
April
2nd - Engaged in Provo, Utah while visiting my brother Jeff and sister-in-law Vicki.
Visited old buddy Jason Koop there in Provo. F.Y.I: Jason Koop and I go back to the 70's and 80's where we were childhood friends in San Luis Obispo. Jason's family moved to Utah in 1984 (right around beginning of Jr. High).

July
16th - Married in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Went to Disneyland and Magic Mountain for part of our honeymoon.
Moved into our first apartment at Ricks College and continued school.
August - Went to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming for a little camping trip.
Met our friends Adam and Ingrid Braun (next door neighbors). F.Y.I: end up being neighbors, or live in same area with them on and off for years to come (even to this day).
We both got hired on to build a house outside of Rexburg for a local family (Christensen's). Worked with a crew of College kids and a Supervisor. The woman that hired us picked us up each day to work on site. The house was a large 3 story home that we never had a chance to finish due to weather. Worked on the house up until October.
November - I got job on campus working as a grounds crew worker. Krista got a campus job working in the cafateria.
December - Went to Nana and Poppy's in St George, UT for Christmas. Bought our first car together. Went snowskiing with my Dad and brother Cory at Brian Head Ski Resort near Cedar City Utah. Krista's first time snow skiing.


1994

April - Graduated Ricks and moved to San Luis Obispo, CA
June - I got a new job working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car after working for a short time for a local food business. Krista got job at Gottschalks Department store.
Had a uneventful time house sitting for some people in San Luis Obispo where we had one disaster after another.
July - Spent a nice day trip driving down the PCH for our wedding anniversary. Rented a Mazda Miata Convertable.
House sitted again for another family we knew better, and had better experience.
Visited Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA.
August - Memorable waterski trip with my friend Dale to Lake Nacimiento. Van broke down as we pulled into the marina. Krista's first time waterskiing and she got up on first try.
December - Moved to La Grande, OR to attend Eastern Oregon State College.
Met our friends Addison and Nicole Larreau.

1995

January - Krista got a job at Emporium Department store in the shoe department. I got campus job working in the Audio Visual Room.
April - Went to Grass Valley, CA to visit Krista's family at her Grandparents for Easter.
May - Visited Jeff and Vicki in Eugene. Also went to Dale and Genevieve's wedding reception in Salem.
June - Moved to Pocatello, ID to attend Idaho State University.
August - Krista and I got jobs at University Bookstore on Campus working in the textbook department. Krista eventually moved to the register and customer service.
October - Camping Trip to Palisades with Friends Adam and Ingrid Braun and their boy Addison.
December - Trip to Strawberry Arizona for Christmas to visit family. Also visited Krista's grandparents (Fields) that were spending the winter on the border of Arizona.

1996

May - Bought our first house in Pocatello, ID and spent a good portion of the next couple months living in the basement of the house while it was being remodeled.
July - Went to San Luis Obispo to visit family and to attend Uncle Robert and Aunt Andrea's wedding in Los Angeles. Also visited Krista's Uncle and Cousin down in Southern CA. Took Krista's cousin with us to Disneyland.
Went to Hearst Castle and went on another tour.
August - Went to Grand Teton for camping trip with friends Adam and Ingrid and their boy Addison. Rented a boat on Jenny Lake was one of our highlights.
December - Went to San Luis Obispo for Christmas to visit family. One of highlights was going to Morro Bay to canoe in our raft in the harbor. This is where we had our Morro Bay ocean photo taken.

1997

February - Went to Provo to visit friends Dale and his wife Genevieve.
March - Went to Lake Powell with Krista's family to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa Hoods 50th anniversary. They rented largest houseboat and a ski boat. Very fun trip, but had a little rough experience towards the end. Visited Nana and Poppy in St. George.
June
7th - Krista surprised Gary with a trip to Lagoon in Utah. She brought some of my good friends from work.
July - Went Camping up at Grand Teton National Park and visited Yellowstone
November - Went to Salt Lake to visit our friends. Visited Temple Square and "This is the Place" Monument.
December - Went to San Luis Obispo, CA for Christmas. Had a San Luis Youth reunion at the Institute with a lot of old friends that happened to be their for the holidays.

1998

February
1st - We find out Krista is pregnant with Maddy.
May - Gary graduates Idaho State University. Went to Oregon to visit Jeff and Vicki in Cottage Grove and went to visit Krista's Grandparents in Coos Bay.
Grandma and Grandpa Hood come to visit us. Help us with our house baseboard and attend my graduation ceremony.
July - Jeff and Vicki come to visit us. Take them to Lava Hot Springs.
August - Went on a camping trip to Grand Teton National Park and went to Yellowstone National Park.
October
7th - Madelyn Amber born in Bannock Regional Medical Center in Pocatello, ID.
Krista's Mom and Sister Jolene come to visit. Katie, Mel and Karrie come visit as well.
November - Gary gets a part-time job with Airborne Express in Pocatello, ID as a delivery driver. Krista starts temporary job for holidays at ShopKo working as a cashier.
December - Went to Depeche Mode Concert in Salt Lake City with some friends.

1999

January - Put our home up for sale. I ended job with Idaho State University Bookstore.
March - Drive down to St. George to visit my grandparents Nana and Poppy. They see Maddy for 1st time.
April - My grandfather Poppy died. Went back to St. George for his funeral.
June - Moved to San Luis Obispo, CA
July - I get job at First Bank of San Luis Obispo in Loan Department. I previously worked at First Bank 1991- 1992 before going to Ricks.
August - Started Apartment Management job in San Luis Obispo at San Luis Towers.
September - Krista and Maddy travel to Idaho with Krista's Mom and Sister to attend Karrie and Corey's Wedding in Rigby, ID.
October -
Our house finally sold.
Visited my grandparents Oma and Opa in Los Angeles. Also visited Krista's Ancle, Aunt and Cousin (Steve, Debbie and Dedra) in Orange County. Jolene was also there. They take us miniature golfing
November - Took a road trip up to Grass Valley to visit Krista's Grandparents. On the way back to San Luis Obispo we took highway 1 down the coast for a scenic trip.
Went to my cousin's up near Yosemite for Thanksgiving where we had a family dinner and get together. I went to Yosemite National Park with my Dad, Cory and Dana while Krista and my Mom went shopping in Fresno.
I start new job as a Mortician Assistant at Benedict-Rettey Mortuary in Morro Bay, CA.

2000

March - Flew to Boise for Apartment Managment Team job Interview for Falcon Valley Townhomes. Krista moves to Boise to start job while I finish job up in San Luis Obispo.
April - Officially move to Boise. On the way up we stopped in at Grandma and Grandpa Hoods overnight. Grandma and Grandpa Fields and Krista's parents and sister were also there.
June - My parents make first trip to Boise. Took them to Boise River Festival and showed them around the area.
July - Go to McCall, ID with Katie and Mel for 4th of July camping trip. Saw firework show on the lake. It actually snowed a little overnight.
August - Met friends Mark and Shelly Hopkins.
October - Krista gets a new job with Payroll America.
November - I start developing Boise Ad web project with brother Jeff.
December - Drive to Arizona with Katie and Mel to visit Krista's family for Holidays.

2001

January
1st - We find out Krista is pregnant with Kerra.
April - Visited family in San Luis Obispo. Nana came to Mom and Dad's for the week we were there.
August - My friend Mark and I go camping north of Boise for a couple days.
September
20th - Kerra Paige born at St Luke's Medical Center in Boise, ID.


2002

March - I started new job with Fairway Lawn as lawn Technician.
April - Krista and the girls go to visit Mom and Dad Hood in Strawberry, AZ.
July - Krista and the girls go to Coos Bay Oregon with Katie to visit Grandparents. Moved to Nampa, ID (16 miles from Boise). Krista's sister Katie lived in Nampa. Went on ward campout north of Boise.
August - Go to Idaho Falls for Jaqueline's birth with Katie.
September - Go to Rigby, ID for Jaqueline's blessing.
December -
Went to San Luis Obispo for Holidays.
My Grandmother Nana died.


2003

June - Jeff, Vicki and kids come to visit us. Showed them around the area and took them to Boise RiverFest.
July - My parents come to visit for a week.
June - Went to Arizona to visit Krista's family. Krista takes camping/hiking trip with her Dad and sisters near Grand Canyon. I help Krista's mom watch our kids and Karrie's kids for 5 days.
September - Took trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park for camping trip. Visited Karrie and Corey in Rigby, ID.
November - Went to San Luis Obispo, CA for Thanksgiving holiday. Drove down and also had visit with Krista's grandparents on the way back in Grass Valley, CA. Highlights were golfing with his Dad, brothers and Ancle and Aunt. Also went on Steve and Christina's boat at Lopez Lake.

2004

April - Moved back to Boise, ID.
May - Find out Krista is pregnant.
June - Trip to Strawberry, AZ to visit Krista's family. Also went to San Luis Obispo, CA to visit family and to attend Dana and Matt's wedding in Los Angeles.
Visit Krista's grandparents (Hood) in Grass Valley on the way back home.
August - I take the girls camping to the Ward Campout up near Idaho City. Took Mark and his two boys with us.
October - Went to General Conference in Salt Lake City with Krista's family. Went to Jolene and Ryan's new house in Preson (Weston) Idaho. Krista and my parents come to Boise to visit at the same time. They go to Maddy's 6th birthday party.
I get offered a job with Albertsons.com (TLC Transportation) as a delivery driver.
