Welcome to my webpage! This website has been a long time in coming. I first thought of the idea of a family website several years ago, and it is only through the help and persistance of my brother, Gary, that is this even a reality. It is still a work in progress as you will see that many of the pages are still under construction.

I am currently working as the Director of Engineering for Geo-West Land Consultants. This is a small civil engineering and surveying firm. It has been my dream since working for Geowest of Oregon, right out of college, to own a small engineering company. I have come full circle and I'm now a partner with a Surveyor. Running a business takes a lot of time. Unfortunately, this time committment has come at the expense of my house remodel.

Until I started with Geo-West I spent a lot of time working on my house. I've made a lot of progress, but there is still a lot of way to go. Vicki has been very patient with me, and I spend all of my Saturdays working on the house. Unfortunately, the projects go a lot further than the money, and we are starting to run out of money to finance the remodel. Thankfully the house is in a liveable condition. It is just hard to get everything done in the timeframes that I originally invisioned. We are on the 5 year plan now.

I recently completed my term as President as the San Luis Obispo Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers. It was a great opportunity for me, and I enjoyed working with many capable engineers. I'm now serving as the Webmaster, and in an advisory role as the Past President. During my term as an officer, I created and maintain a website for the Branch. Each month newsletters are sent to all the engineers on our mailing list, which is currently around 600. The electronic newsletter has saved our Branch a tremendous amount of money, and we are currently looking at establishing a engineering scholarship with the money we have saved.

I'm also serving as the Cub Master in our church. I really enjoy working with the young boys. Having Wesley in my group is a lot of fun.
