CRESCANT YEAST ROLLS

4 cups sifted flour
1 package dry yeast
½ cup + 1 Tbsp sugar
1/3 cup warm water
¾ tsp salt
½ cup melted shortening
3 well beaten eggs
1 cup lukewarm milk


Instructions:

1. Mix 1 Tbsp sugar, yeast & 1/3 cup warm water. Let rest until yeast comes to top of small bowl.
2. In a large bowl add: salt, margarine & remaining sugar. Add yeast mixture and stir in eggs.
3. Add milk & flour
4. Let set in bowl about 4 hours. Do not knead!
5. Place on well-floured bowl and cut in half. Put other ½ in bowl.
6. Roll into a circle.
7. Cut into 16 wedges.
8. Roll into crescents.
9. Let rise 15 minutes in warm place.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
